This Engineering course is introduced by the Kerala Government considering the great and urgent need felt for trained manpower in the field of electronics and communication, as a result of ever growing industrial development and rapid technological advancement. In a survey conducted by the department of Electronics, Government of India, about the future requirement of trained manpower in the operation of sophisticated electronic equipments, it has been revealed that there is an acute shortage of trained people in the field of electronics. This course is meant to train youngsters to operate, maintain, service, repair and manufacture complicated electronics and communication equipments.
Scope
Employment opportunities exist in the manufacture and servicing of television, V.C.D., radio, telephones, Computers, transmitters, railways, etc. The field of electronics is developed at the rate of 20% in India.
Yesterday’s Luxury is today’s necessity. Today Refrigeration & A/C. is an unavoidable requirement in one way or other, for every section of people. At present, the available qualified and efficient technicians in this field are not sufficient to cater to the needs, itself shows the demand of these technicians. Students who have completed this course in our Institute are being absorbed by different establishments without even waiting for the result of the examination attended by them .
